Zoo Tycoon 2 has the same game-play as the original Blue Fang’s video game Zoo Tycoon, which is to create and operate a zoo by creating exhibits and aquariums, keeping guests and animals happy, and keep the employees, the economics, soil and landscape. The goal is the title of the game, which is to become a “zoo tycoon”. Originally released for Windows, Zoo Tycoon 2 in is also available for Windows Mobile, PDA, Nintendo DS, and Mac OS X, although extensions not included in the version for Mac.
Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection contains the original game, all four official expansions and a new menu theme exclusive to it, similar to Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection. This title was released on September 30, 2008. Some users have reported disk problems in December 2008, whereby the third disk was the same as the second one. Microsoft sent free disk replacements at their support site.

what do i do, it is a mac, the file installs other apps that have nothing 2 do with zoo tycoon… for example mackeeper or chromium

Have you mount the image “rld-z2ea.cue” from [Zoo Tycoon 2 – Extinct Animals folder] before you play the game? make sure that it is mounted on your virtual disk drive everytime you play the game.

I did that it is still not working. During installation with Extinct Animals it said “cannot find startup application ” I clicked retry and it said it again and then i said ignore… should I have kept clicking retry? Thank you for a quick response.
Have you successfully installed the game or you are still in installation process?
If you have completed installation and have problems, try running the game as administrator. if still didnt work try compatibility mode to make it work on xp sp 1 or other… please try and let me know if still didnt work…

REVISED INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Run setup from Zoo Tycoon 2 folder and install
2. Mount* “rld-ztaa.iso” from African Adventures folder, run setup.exe
3. Mount “ZT2-MM.mds” from Marine Mania folder, run setup.exe
4. Mount “Zoo.Tycoon.2.Endangered.Species.bin” (not .cue) from Endangered Species folder, run setup.exe
—NEW REVISION: YOU MUST MOUNT BIN NOT CUE, AND DAEMON TOOLS WON’T SHOW YOU THE BIN FILE YOU MUST OPEN THE DROP DOWN MENU IN YOUR “BROWSE FOR FILE” WINDOW AND SELECT “ALL FILES”, FIND THE BIN FILE AND CLICK IT. ALSO, I COULD NOT DO THIS AT ALL WITH MAGIC ISO——

6. Copy “zt” app from “Crack” in Extinct Animals folder to your install folder (replace existing file) – Use that to launch your game and enjoy!

Finally, in addition to the above clarifications, WARNING: After installing, everything ran fine, and I went through all the tutorials of the game on how to play and it all worked. But then I went to the download section in the game’s menu, confirmed most of the downloads availabe were indeed already included with this torrent BUT for Guestpak and something else. I downloaded those and suddenly the game no longer worked. So my only option was to uninstall and suddenly it also could no longer install. The setup file n the zoo tycoon 2 folder no longer worked. Now my only option was to use system recovery, go to before I installed, and start over, but system recovery lost some key files of the torrent in my torrent download folder, go figure. So I have to download all over again. So, things were left out of downloads, but you can’t get them. Not the normal way, anyway.
If setup.exe doesn’t work: The reason is Microsoft, not this torrent. You had this game installed before. I found the solution was either to use a restore point prior to the first installation… which isn’t good once it’s been awhile. Or, a registry cleaner. This worked beautifully, but be careful that it is only this game’s keys being removed, ignore other things found in the scans as it can be very harmful, registry cleaners don’t always know why keys are unused at the moment.
Often, the game will not play even after setup.exe and all the expansions have been successfully installed. The reason is most likely the splash movies playing before the main menu loads. It freezes. There is a fix for this, found in the ‘hacks’ section of Zoo Admin and several other ZT2 download fansites, described as the movie stopper. It works, my game starts every time now, loading straight to the main menu.

hello anthot, you will need to install deamontools, poweriso or likes to mount an iso file. you can read the How to use PowerISO virtual drive? in our FAQs page for more details… hope this helps…

Those are image files you will need to mount them using deamontools or poweriso. from there you can open it and run the setup file.

It took me 12 hours to download, and my computer is new, so it doesnt have

Please dont download this, it can give your computer virus from having to download

Not worth it, just buy a disk, you can get them at online stores for like $10 bucks LEGAL.
I deleted this game, its not worth the hassle , again just buy a new one.
