NHL 2004 is a sports video game of ice hockey developed by EA Black Box studios. It is the successor to NHL 2003 and is widely considered to be an important turning point in the NHL series.
The game NHL 2004 has added 3 European Elite Leagues: German Deutsche Eishockey Liga, the Swedish Elitserien, and the Finnish SM-Liiga. (This is not the first time that European teams involved in a game of EA? EA released both Elitserien 95 and Elitserien 96 for the Mega Drive in Sweden only and Elitserien and SM-Liiga 2001 as an expansion pack for the PC in Sweden and Finland included these groups.) Ratings of teams in Elitserien and SM-Liiga was comparable to the roster NHL, however, future doses had lower league teams of the NHL.

Here’s the uploader’s description for the game:
this is a .rar oh nhl 2004. i created it using clonecd 5. so whoever downloads it tell me if it works, since it’s already installed on my pc i not need to install this. the serial and cracks are within the rar. Simply install game. do not start it after install, you have to copy and paste the cd fix in the .rar file and then you will not need a cd and the game will run. go to firegamers.com and join a new online league 4 vs 4. looking for fast connections…

You will need to find the CD fix inside the RAR pr Image file and copy paste it to your game installation folder. (replace if prompted)
If you encounter problems (old game = lots of problems on new Ver of Windows) here’s what you can try:
Run the game using compatibility mode
Run the game as administrator

PS: Original NHL 2004 doesn’t work on modern computers. This rebuilt mod’s interface “cracks” it.
How do I install the game? I have see the two folders labeled “cd1″ and cd2,” but I’m not sure how to install the game. Windows says the img files are corrupted when I double click on them. Do I have to mount/burn the cd1 and cd2 game files each to a cd in order to install them?

You will need a mounting software like deamontools lite to mount the image files and install the game. then find the serial + crack inside it… hope this helps…
I’m still having issues. All of the programs I see only allow you to mount iso files, but not img files. I also don’t have any CDs, so I’m trying to use USB flash drives instead. Any suggestions?

Image and iso files are just the same. you can use deamon tools lite for free to mount the image/iso files.
you do not need to burn it to cd if you have deamontools lite… please search “mounting image files” to know more about it…
I can confirm this works. Read this carefully, I’m about to do you guys a solid here.
Before we start:
DO NOT INSTALL THE GAME TO DEFAULT \Program Files path! Use something simple like C:\nhl 2004. This is because the mod you’ll be downloading WILL NOT WORK in the default path.
Installation is simple.
1. Unrar the NHL04 file.
2. Grab Daemon tools lite and install it.
3. Open “cd1” folder then open “IMAGE” (CCD) file.
4. It should now be mounted in your (F:) drive. Open the drive, scroll down to “install” and run it as administrator. (right click/”run as admin”)
5. Enter serial code provided in the original download folder.
6. Go to your C: drive and create a folder. Title it something like “nhl 04” and MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE GAME INTO THIS DIRECTORY.
7. I didn’t install online components, do it at your own risk. Make sure you install the necessary graphics update it’s telling you it needs. I don’t remember exactly what it is, something like java.
8. It should be asking for disk 2 now. Right click your F: drive (or whichever drive you mounted the file on) and click EJECT.
9. Open “cd2” folder and then open the IMAGE file again. Click OK and the install should finish up. It might hang a little at the end so be patient.
10. Copy the “NHL 2004” file from the NHL2004v1.04NoCDFixedexeEng folder, paste it into c:/nhl 04 or wherever you installed the game. Replace file in the destination.
There ya have it. You can’t make it past the main screen without the Rebuilt mod, so head over and grab that now. Obviously might want to fire the game up once to make sure it’s working though.
I tried to make this as simple as possible, but if you’re still lost leave a reply and I’ll try to help ya out.

A little extra info for anyone installing this – I’ve got this running perfectly on Windows 8.1, and you’ll want to turn off any anti-virus while installing both this and the Rebuilt mod. Cheers!
