Broforce is a run and gun side-scrolling platform video game developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital. The game plays like many other action shooter games, but with a notable over-the-top level of mayhem and destruction. Allowing up to four players to play cooperatively, players spawn in as a random Bro (who are all parodies of famous action characters spanning from the ’80s to the early ’00s, each with the word “bro” somehow shoehorned into their name) and rush to the end shooting everything that stands in their way. It was released via Steam’s Early Access on April 7, 2014 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X with a full release on 2015.
