Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is a first-person survival horror action-adventure video game developed by Headfirst Productions and published by Bethesda Softworks with 2K Games and Ubisoft for the PC and Xbox systems. The game was published first for the Xbox in 2005 and the PC version followed in 2006.
The story and tone of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft who specialized in “weird fiction” and the idea of “cosmic horror”. Players assume the role of private investigator Jack Walters as he begins a search for a missing persons case in the coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts in 1922. Call of Cthulhu game contains first-person shooting, stealth, and adventure game elements.
