American Conquest is a real-time strategy video game developed by Ukrainian GSC Game World and published by German CDV. It was first released on February 5, 2003 in North America for Windows systems. There are two available expansion packs for this game and they are American Conquest: Fight Back and Divided Nations.
Description
In the year 1492, travel to America as Christopher Columbus and ignite the fire that will fan 300 years of heated battles for land, riches, and freedom. In eight historical campaigns spanning 42 missions, you will take on the roles of great legends such as Francisco Pizarro and George Washington. Secure new technologies, unique weaponry, and improved fighting units, but also master the delicate world of diplomacy. Play with fire! Conquer America!
Expansions:
American Conquest: Fight Back is a stand-alone expansion pack for American Conquest. It features five new nations: Germany, Russia, Haida, Portugal and the Netherlands, and 50 new units. In addition to new campaigns featuring the Mayas, the Germans, the Haida and the Russians, a new ‘battlefield’ game mode is available. The German campaign briefly chronicles the expedition of Ambrosius Ehinger and Georg Hohermuth whereas the Russian campaign concerns the Alaskan campaign under Alexander Baranov. The new Haida campaign is from the Haida point of view of the Russian expedition. The Mayas campaign covers details from the Spanish conquest of Yucatán.
American Conquest: Divided Nation is the second stand-alone expansion to American Conquest. It features four new nations in a new timeline: The Union, The Confederacy, The Republic of Texas and Mexico, and more than 120 new units. Old factions cannot fight new ones. The game also brings a host of new features to the game, such as horse artillery, field fortifications, tents, and generals. Players can experience battles entirely new to the RTS Genre, from the Battle of Alamo to Battle of Gettysburg.

Ah. i cant seem to get this to work, is it windows 7 compatible? WinRAR come up with these 2 errors all the time:

If your done and you encounter that problem… Try to download 7zip software it is free just search google for it…
ah yes its done downloading, ill download 7zip to i guess thanks.
the only thing thats extracting are the folders none of the files are.
can you please guide me on how to get this out of the archive… I cant extract the files at all… please help.

You will need to find the archive files then right click on witch you want to extract first then click 7 zip > then extract. you will find the extracted files in the same folder. now you can install the game.
Just let us know if you still encounter any probs…
Sorry that i might be wasting your time… you might have better things to do but the problem is that when i extract

When I close the errors only the folders appear on the desktop (where i extracted it to) But all the folders are empty. I have taken a screenshot of the hole situation, i do not know how to send it to you thought….
It is alright evilmittens your problem is my problem so we need to solve this… :D Now lets get back to the problem…
Please confirm if you already done this:
Have you already installed the 7-zip? (you cant just use this coz your default program for archive is winrar)
After you installed I need you to find the zip file you want to extract…
Once you found it, right click the zip file > from the menu look for 7-zip > then click Extract Here
Thank you. I did as you said. When I selected extract the errors came up. similar to the ones above ( in my previous reply) and only the folders in the Zip extracted WITHOUT its contents ( the game and instruction etc.).
I am so sorry about this… I tested the to unzip “American conquest anthology notes.zip” using 7-zip and it extracted with no problem…

Thank you for helping me… I have downloaded the file 100% but its not working and the other download you told me about i have… the problem is that it doesn’t have Divided Nation in it… which is really the only thing i want. but i will try re downloading the torrent see if something messed up somehow. Thank you for the quick responses!
unfortunately the torrent still isnt working so here is exactly what i did.
I finished downloading the torrent.
I stop the torrent from seeding. (after i seeded 2.5 GB)
I open up the torrent ( In downloads )
I see:
American Conquest
American Conquest Fight Back
American Conquest Divided Nation
American Conquest notes
I right click on American Conquest Divided Nation ( for that is what i want)
Then i click on extract here ( i have tried extracting elsewhere)
The errors appear ( i have posted these in previous replies)
I close the errors
I notice the American Conquest Divided Nation folder where i extracted it to
Inside there is nothing.
Please. is there any other solutions to this? or maybe another download for “American Conquest Divided Nation”? the only thing i want is divided nation. thank you
Try this to fix the unzipping error. You need to download 7zip then open the destination folder with the .zip archives. Right click on the them > 7zip > extract to…

thanks for the help but at the end of the installation the game said this: The installation was completed successfully. Please restart your computer.
(which happens with a lot of games and I’ve done this before)
After i started to restart my computer, it did everything it was supposed to do, but when it was starting back up new leading screens started and a Microsoft Startup Security menu opened saying there was a problem with my hard drive it scanned and scanned every time i started and closed my computer and it didn’t let me in ( because of the hard drive problem ) i ended up rebooting my computer to a point in time just before i finished installing the game,and i don’t know whether i should try again or leave it… i really want this game, I might be doing a complete system reboot and maybe then it’ll work but anyway just putting that out there, of there is a way to avoid it thanks, but please look in your spare time for i don’t want to waste it. I’m really not that psyched anymore bye. THANKYOU
